In October 2014 I took part in 64digits’ Scary4Digits game jam. I made a small first person shooter / walking simulator that tells a story about a kid that is late for Halloween.
To meet the deadline and save some time during the asset creation I chose an art style that works without textures but takes advantage of Unity Pro’s image effects like bloom, vignetting, depth of field, noise, sun shafts, edge detection and refraction of light. I always wanted to experiment with those and with The Last Treat I finally had the opportunity to do so.
Furthermore I gave the 3d models a distinct style which I describe later in this post. With a toon shader applied in Unity that renders outlines and rim lights it looks very pretty.
With The Last Treat I won my first game jam. The game is available for free. You can play it in you browser but I recommend to download the installer and play it full screen.

If you like it and want to leave a tip, you can 🙂
Now about the 3d models. Here’s an image that describes how I stylized them:

That’s it for now.
